Benefits of Giclée Prints

Reproductions have tremendously improved with advances in technology. At Ann Candler Fine Art, we are fortunate to have a business relationship with Van Gogh Again Editions, a local, high-end print company that specializes in the highest quality fine art reproductions available in the art world.

Ann Candler's giclée fine art prints are precisely and beautifully printed onto canvas using the largest flatbed color scanner in the art business - the ECLIPSE. Droplets from the printer are the size of a human blood cell. Small enough to penetrate and wrap around the texture of canvas. Small enough to show shadow in the texture of a brushstroke. From standard viewing distance, even artists may think a giclée print an original.

All of our giclée prints are limited editions on canvas, with the catalog number written on the back of the piece, and on the documents shipped with the print. Giclée prints are limited to 250 editions of each painting image.

Ann also signs and highlights each giclée print with brushstrokes of oil paint, which enhance the texture of the image and bring an extreme likeness to the original oil painting.

The result is a piece of artwork that captures important nuances of the original in a way that was previously not possible. With the best printing available, and the artistic quality of hand brushstrokes in oil paint by the artist, you have a truly unique piece of art.
